With strong talents in graphic design and page layout, I set out in 2000 to get an education in the programming side of web site design. With the help of a dedicated teaching staff at Southwestern Community College I was able to achieve my goals of learning to work with the back-end code of web design and graduate with an "A" average.

My long-term goals center on my interests in 3D animation, audio/video editing, and the movie business. I want to become more than a typical Web Designer. I want to specialize in New Media.

'New Media' refers to the explosion of digital technology that has 'converged' multiple media in a pervasive and transformational way. To harness these various media and bring them to one platform, the Internet, requires skills and talents in several fields and a vast array of computer programs.

I am in the process of learning the basics of 3D animation programs such as 3D Studio Max and Lightwave 3D (3D Animation and Special Effects). I am also in the process of learning Adobe Premiere & Adobe After Effects (Video Editing). I will certainly encounter more programs in the sphere of audio/video, graphics, and 3D animation to learn and put to use in my preparations for being a New Media Specialist.

My talents and skills go far beyond the scope of the Internet. I am also a good leader. Working on the front lines at Harrah's Cherokee Casino in Cherokee, North Carolina as a Gaming Host taught me how to work in a group with my fellow employees. I also picked up invaluable people skills in the area of customer service. Gaming hosts are responsible for every need of the players, and the players let us know it.

I am talented in communication, and especially writing. Starting in high school with my journalism class and stretching throughout my college career, I have been scoring "A's" in all of my English classes. I take pride in my writing so I strive to do it as well as I can.

I like to see myself succeed at whatever I do.

Thank you for considering me for your company. I hope you find the right person for the job. I also hope that person is me.
